Eric A. Brockman is a visionary leader with over 30 years of experience in the Information
Technology and Cybersecurity sectors. As the Founder and Chairman of FOCUS, Eric has dedicated
his career to transforming lives and communities through education, empowerment, and
technology.
With a robust background as a Certified Computer Systems Engineer and Cybersecurity
Practitioner, Eric’s expertise extends across network systems design, architecture, and
cybersecurity. His technical acumen, coupled with a passion for community service, has driven
FOCUS to become a beacon of hope and opportunity for underprivileged young adults in the
District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
Eric founded FOCUS in 1994 with a mission to address the educational and personal development
needs of young adults in disadvantaged communities. Under his leadership, FOCUS has grown into
a dynamic organization that provides comprehensive IT and cybersecurity training, equipping
individuals with the skills necessary to thrive in today’s competitive job market. Eric’s commitment
to bridging the opportunity gap is evident in every aspect of his work, from mentoring and tutoring to
strategic leadership and community outreach.
Beyond his professional achievements, Eric is deeply committed to his ministry work, serving in
various capacities at New Psalmist Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland. His dedication to both
